Battle of Bunker Hill
- 16,000 military men from the colonist gather to take on the Britist
- They were told to go to Bunker hill but went to the wrong place
- There was three attacks on the colonist first two attacks the colonist won, the third one the British forced them out
- British won but colonist felt it was a moral victory
- Lost more than 50% of the men

The Battle of Lexington and Concord
- Battle first started April 1775
- Massachusetts was preparing war
- They took whatever supplies that they need
- They did not have a surplus of weapons
- This is when Paul Revere had his famous ride say "the British are coming the British are coming"
- More British dead than the colonist

The Battle of Dorchester Heights
- In 1776 2,000 troops stormed Dorchester Heights
- They prepared for this for a while and had gun powder brought from Fort Ticonderoga
- British General heard word of the troops stationed at Dorchester Heights
- They found out how they were formed and decided to evacuate
